Living up among the tall trees in the pine forest of Northern Sweden has never been so easy. Gaze out at Sweden’s spectacular nature from up in the Mirrorcube or the UFO. The kitchen team at Treehotel focuses on wild game and locally sourced ingredients in its dishes.

The hotel sauna and hot tub can be used for an additional fee. Plenty of activities can be organised by Treehotel upon request. In the summer, guests can enjoy hiking, kayaking or explore the surroundings on fat bikes.

The Treehotel is a special hotel experience situated outside the small village of Harads, a one hour’s drive northwest of Lulea and just 60km south of the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland. It offers seven different room options all individually designed by Scandinavia’s leading architects with contemporary design and chic interiors. Visit Stockholm and travel from there to the extraordinary Treehotel in Swedish Lapland and the famous Aurora Sky station in Abisko where you have excellent chances of observing the Northern Lights. From Sweden you travel further north to Norway to visit the Northern Lights city of Tromsø.

The price for the rooms are for 1-guests, if you are more than guests you have to add the number of. All rooms, feature sustainably sourced wooden floors, energy efficient eco-toilets and locally crafted fittings where possible. Hydroelectricity also powers all the rooms and no trees were cut down during construction. There are prodigious spruce and fir trees in Scandinavia that make excellent treehouse hosts. Pine trees are also prevalent and acceptable for treehouses, but are not quite as ideal as the mighty spruce or fir.
